The Trials That Life Brings

We all go through trials. And as we walk with the Lord & mature in Him, we learn to thank Him for the opportunity to show Himself STRONG on our behalf through each trial we endure, for we believe this will turn to the glory of God. For we have learned & do know that all things work together for good to them that love God, who are the called according to His purpose (Rom. 8:28). He has trained us to know that what the enemy meant for evil, God meant for good (Gen.50:20).

We must come to understand that God is working in each of us to mold & shape us after His will. Our trials are evidence of His love at work in us & while a lot of the time, we don't understand "whys" of Him allowing trials in our lives, we DO know that He has His reasons, because His Word tells us many things about trials.

Rom 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Rom 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Rom 5:3
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation works patience;
Rom 5:4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
Rom 5:5 And hope makes not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Every trial we go through has been designed & allowed by God to work in us. Trials create patience in us & as we learn to be patient during our trials, this will create experience in us. That means that each trial we go through, we gain more experience through each trial. And experience creates hope...we will know that just as He brought us through the last trial...we will make it through this trial & we will make it through every future trial also.

Isa 40:26
Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that brings out their host by number: he calls them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one fails.

As we see HIS greatness of might & His strength in power, we can understand that trials help us to "be strong in the Lord & in the power of HIS might" (Eph. 6:10).

2Co 4:15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
2Co 4:16
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
2Co 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
2Co 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

The Apostle Paul recognized this when he said:

2Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me,
My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2Co 12:10
Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Without trials, we could not be spiritually strong. Without trials, we would never be spiritually strong. Trials are spiritual exercises to work along with God as He desires us to "work out our own salvation, with fear & trembling" (Phil. 2:12). He is our loving Heavenly Father & He knows what He is doing. We can rest in His love, knowing that He will not allow us to be tried above what we are able to endure:

1Corinthians 10:13 There hath no trial taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tried above that ye are able; but will with the trial also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Our "escape" is to run into His loving arms, knowing that He will carry us safely through to the other side.

Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Mat 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

As we will stay in this place of safety, we will be able to endure anything that may come against us, for we are secure in His rest.
